It’s the penultimate match day at The Breyer Group Stadium and the O’s host play-off hopefuls Harrogate Town (3pm kick-off).
Head Coach Justin Edinburgh was pleased to see his side come back from a goal down at Sutton United to take maximum points from Gander Green Lane.
Dan Happe pulled us level after Jonah Ayunga’s opener early in the second-half gave his side the lead. A mistake at the back forced Sutton ‘keepr Ross Worner to hack down Macauley Bonne in the box before the forward calmly converted from the spot to notch his 24th goal in all competitions this season.
Harrogate will be after a response having fallen to defeat at home against Boreham Wood last time out. Tom Champion’s early first-half strike was enough for the away side to take the points from the CNG Stadium.
Tomorrow’s visitors will also be after revenge as the O’s struck three times in North Yorkshire's reverse fixture. Bonne opened the scores before Jobi McAnuff notched a brace to send us top of the table having remained unbeaten for 12th game since the start of the campaign.
Jamie Turley and Jobi McAunff have both returned to training and may be available for tomorrow’s clash after a closer look from the medcial team.
Sam Ling suffered a hamstring injury in our win over Sutton and will not be available for selection this weekend.
James Dayton is awaiting a date for surgery on his ankle which he dislocated on the weekend, while Alex Lawless has returned to light training following dizziness in our fixture against Eastleigh.
MAN IN THE MIDDLE
Tomorrow’s referee is Marc Edwards, he will be assisted by Aaron Farmer and Oliver Jackson with Daniel Simpson as the fourth official. Edwards has taken charge of the O’s on two occasions this season, both games ended in victory. The first was in today’s reverse fixture in Yorkshire when we defeated Harrogate Two 3-1 and the second one was in our 3-1 victory over AFC Fylde. So far this term, Edwards has handed out 62 yellow cards, and three penalties in 20 National League appearances.
