Orient return to league action tomorrow afternoon (3pm kick-off) when we travel to Ebbsfleet United in the Vanarama National League.
Justin Edinburgh’s men were in FA Trophy action last weekend and Matt Harrold’s penalty was enough to see the O’s through to the next round.
Ebbsfleet come into the fixture on the back of a dramatic 3-3 draw with Chesterfield, which saw the Kent side take a first-half three-goal lead, but concede three late goals and miss a penalty which meant the game ended level.
The Fleet are the National League’s in-form side and haven’t dropped a point at home since October 2018 which currently sees them sit in ninth position.
The last meeting between to two teams came in August on game day two of the season. James Brophy’s 18th minute opener was cancelled out by forward Corey Whitely whose deflected shot from distance found its way into the back of the net.
It was earlier confirmed that the O’s would be without central defender Marvin Ekpiteta who suffered an upper ankle sprain in our fixture at Wrexham last weekend.
Midfielder Craig Clay has returned to light training but will most likely see tomorrow’s fixture come too soon.
Edinburgh will certainly be without Myles Judd who will serve his one game suspension after he received two yellow cards at Wrexham.
However, Orient will be bolstered by latest signing Jamie Turley who is likely be in the squad that travels to Kent.
Watch episode three of The O's show featuring Sam Ling and Dale Gorman as well as Justin Edinburgh's preview of the weekend here.
The referee for tomorrow’s fixture against Ebbsfleet will be Gary Parsons. He will be assisted by Louis Marks and Paul Evans with James Simpson as the fourth official. Parsons is yet to take charge of Orient this season but did oversee our 4-1 victories over Guiseley and Barrow AFC last season. He has taken charge of eight National League games this season, handed out 29 yellow cards, one red card and one penalty.
