On his recent visit to Leyton Orient, Kent Teague took the time to meet school children at two local primary schools.
In the morning of Friday 12 October, he visited Year 6 pupils at Thomas Gamuel School, Walthamstow; and in the afternoon visited Year 2 pupils at Atam Academy, Chadwell Heath.
He spoke to the children about his own background, and encouraged the pupils to focus on what they want to be successful at and work hard every day to achieve it. Afterwards there was time for the children to ask Kent questions.
Pupils from Thomas Gamuel School commented:
- "He was really nice"
- "I learnt to always push your dreams to the limit"
- "He was very intriguing, it was a good opportunity to ask questions of a senior owner"
Academy Director, Tasveer Singh, said: “Mr Teague’s message was in keeping with the school’s ethos that perseverance and hard-work will lead to success.”
Both schools are currently working with Leyton Orient Trust to deliver the Premier League Primary Stars programme. These talks were part of the ‘Power of Yet’ assembly series.
