The inaugural Walking Football World Cup is being held at The Breyer Group Stadium this June.
Taking place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2019, the tournament will see teams representing countries around the world take part in this tournament, run by the International Walking Football Federation (IWFF).
Walking Football is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and captures the “50 plus and still fit / just cannot cope with vets football anymore but I still love to play” generation. Representatives from the Americas, Argentina, Africa, Europe and the Home Countries have already agreed to be part of an exciting line-up that will grace the Leyton Orient pitch this summer and provide a feast of football.
The Over-60s tournament will take place on Saturday 1st June and the over-50s tournament will take place the following day on Sunday 2nd June.
Only the West Stand will be open for spectators. Tickets will cost £10 per day and can be purchased here. Doors open at 10am, the opening ceremony will take place at 11am and the event will finish at 5pm.
