Colin Calderwood - Former Swindon Town defender Colin Calderwood took his first managerial role for seven years when he was appointed Head Coach at Cambridge United. He had previously managed Northampton Town, Nottingham Forest, and Hibernian before taking Assistant Manager roles at Birmingham City, Norwich City, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Aston Villa.
Greg Taylor - The U's left-back had a fine season, playing 39 league matches and being named Player of the Year by local media BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, Cambridge News and Cambridge 105. The 29-year-old has made over 200 appearances for the side.
Just the one signing for Cambridge United this window so far as they confirmed the re-signing of midfielder Luke Hannant, joining from Port Vale. The 25-year-old had started his career in the U's academy, before spells in Non-League with Dereham Town and Gateshead. He made 50 appearances for Port Vale in all competitions last season.
Abbey Stadium is a four-stand stadium which holds a maximum capacity of 8,127. Opened in 1932, it has been the home of Cambridge United for 87 years.
The Main Stand and the South Stand are all-seater stands while the West and North sides are all terraced. One of the Legends Bars in the Newmarket Road End (North Terrace) is named after O's defender Josh Coulson.

A young O's team were heavily beaten by Cambridge United towards the end of the 2016/17 campaign. Only three players over the age of 20 - Liam Kelly, Michael Collins, and Rowan Liburd - were fielded and they held out for 31 minutes before Luke Berry netted. Liam O'Neil scored just before the break before George Maris wrapped up the points just after the interval.
