Derwent is the Director of Women’s Football and 1st Team Manager.

“I am 58-years-old and was born and grew up in Leyton. My first experience of watching Leyton Orient was from the 13th floor of Terrence Messenger Tower opposite the stadium, and my first attended match was February 1973 when we beat Aston Villa 4-0.”

“Throughout my time in football, I have formed close relationships with both Premier and Women’s Super League Clubs to create opportunities for local players, some of whom went on to represent their country. So, when the opportunity arrived to join the management structure here Leyton Orient, I couldn’t wait to get involved!”

“I want to create an environment of likeminded people at Leyton Orient, who are going to work hard for the Club with pride and passion. I want both male and female players to buy into a one Club mentality and to be excellent ambassadors and role models for our youth. I want the fans to get behind the players as they look to establish themselves and I want women to see Leyton Orient as a place where they can flourish. Above all, I want Leyton Orient to be the kind of club that gives women the opportunities they deserve.”
