With over 30 international caps for Jamaica to his name, the midfielder started out at Wimbledon and made his professional debut for the Dons during the 2001-02 season.

Following four years in the Dons first team, McAnuff then found himself on the move in January 2004 when he signed for West Ham United, though only spent six months at the Boleyn Ground before moving to Cardiff City.

Having racked up a total of 48 appearances for the Bluebirds during the 2004-05 season, McAnuff returned to London in order to join Crystal Palace, and went on to become a consistent figure at Selhurst Park.

The midfielder went on to enjoy two seasons with the Eagles in which he made 83 appearances, and scored 14 goals before moving to Watford during the summer of 2006.

In just over two seasons with the Hornets, McAnuff made 92 appearances for the Club before signing for Reading in what proved to be the most successful spell of his career.
